Card information linked via OTAs is provided for the purpose of processing accommodation payments. Therefore, AirHost does not recommend or support using this card information for additional charges.
In some cases, payment services such as Stripe or Fincode by GMO may store card details, which can technically allow additional charges. However, this depends largely on OTA or payment provider specifications, and AirHost does not guarantee that additional charging will be possible.
In addition, many OTAs now issue virtual cards dedicated to accommodation fees, meaning the guest’s actual card details may not be shared. In some OTA payment bookings, no card information is provided at all.
Please note that AirHost does not provide support for additional charges made using OTA-linked card information.
When Charging Additional Fees
If you need to request additional charges, we recommend using the AirHost POS feature.
With the POS feature, you can send a Guest Page URL to the guest, allowing them to add services and complete payment directly on the guest page.
This enables additional charges to be processed clearly through actions taken by the guest themselves.
