Overview
This guide explains how to enable AI Face Recognition as the identity verification method for self check-in.
Using this feature requires purchasing the Check-in Premium option.

Setup Step 1: Configure Check-in Devices
Configure which devices are allowed to perform check-in.
Go to:
Admin Console → Select Property → Check-in Settings → Check-in Flow → Which device is allowed to completed the checkin process?
Enable the appropriate settings based on your operational requirements.
You can choose whether to:
Allow check-in only on an on-site tablet, or
Allow guests to complete self check-in using their own smartphones.
Select the device options that match your check-in operation.
Setup Step 2: Enable AI Face Recognition
Configure the verification items that guests will be required to complete during check-in.
Go to: Admin Console → Select Property → Check-in Settings → Check-in Flow
Then select: Additional Verification at Checkin (Identity Verification, Signature, etc.) → ✎ Edit
Turn the Enable toggle ON.
Select AI Face Recognition. The recognition threshold can be configured between 70% and 95%. If passing face recognition should be a mandatory requirement for check-in, select: If the face recognition does not pass, the guest will not be allowed to check in then save the settings.
When AI Face Recognition is enabled, the following fields are automatically added to the Guest Form and set as required fields:
Domestic guests: ID document or selfie photo
International guests: Passport photo
Optional Verification / Information Collection Items
Use this setting when you want to:
Confirm additional information with guests during the additional authentication process
Provide guests with important instructions or guidance
Inform guests of any requirements or information in advance

When Identity Verification Fails with AI Face Recognition
If AI Face Recognition cannot verify the guest's identity, the following message is displayed: “The photo does not match the facial image.” The guest cannot proceed to the next screen until the verification is completed. This message appears when the pre-uploaded facial photo does not match the selfie taken at the property.
Possible reasons include:
The selfie was taken by someone other than the guest.
The guest's face was not correctly detected or recognized.
