Creating Products (Items / Package Items)
Items provided via room service are broadly divided into two categories:
“Amenities & Rental Items” and “Food & Beverages.”
Since “Amenities & Rental Items” are usually handled by the front desk staff, while “Food & Beverages” are handled by the kitchen or F&B team, they must be set up as separate service menus.
For creating Food & Beverage menus, please refer to the help guide below.
However, note that the service type should be “Room Service”, not “Restaurant Menu.” If the restaurant menu is shared, the same products can be reused.
In this guide, “Amenities & Rental Items” are registered as POS Products (Item type).
Please refer to the “Item” section in the help guide below for the registration steps:
When registering items, it is recommended to assign tags such as “Amenity” or “Rental Item.”
This makes it easier to identify and manage orders from the Order Slip menu.
For free amenities, set the price to $0 for all items.
Create a Service (Restaurant Menu)
Create a menu to display the registered food and drink items. For the registration steps, please refer to the “Restaurant Menu” section in the help article below.
Register the menu by category.
To allow non-hotel guests to use the restaurant, enable “Guests without a reservation” under “Who can book?”.
You can also place the created menu on restaurant tables as a QR code.
