AirHost booking engine does not provide a function that allows guests to change the details of their reservation. Basically, guests will need to cancel their original reservation and make a new one. However, if this is not feasible, there are alternative steps for making changes,
Note: Please be aware that this is merely a workaround and is not a guaranteed function. Please be careful when explaining the process to guests and ensure it is carried out carefully.
1. Change of reservation details
*As of December 2024, it is no longer possible to modify reservation details from the management screen. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. If you wish to make changes to your reservation details (such as check-in/out dates, length of stay, or number of guests), please contact our support team via chat, providing your reservation number and the details of your requested changes. |
Open the details of the reservation in question from Check-in Management , select "Edit" from the "… More Options" button on the right side of the room info,and modify the stay period, number of guests, etc. stay period, number of people, etc.
2. Price Changes
Click on "Transaction."
If you need to adjust the fee, click the link of the billing item where the number is listed on the debit side.
If you wish to change the price, select 'Edit Amount' and make the changes.
3. If payment has already been made and a partial refund is required
Please note that only payments made via your Stripe account can be refunded using the steps below.
Click on a payment item that has a charge on the credit side.
Click on "Refund".
Not only a full refund but also a partial refund is available.
4. If you want to change the authorized payment amount
Authorized amounts cannot be changed. Even if you change the amount directly on Stripe, it will not be reflected on AirHost. You can take one of the following actions:
After making the payment, then issue a refund.
After making the payment, make an additional payment.
Cancel the payment and process the payment directly from Stripe.
It is more certain to process the payment first to ensure proper billing, but in case of a reduction, you will need to explain to the guest as the payment may be initially overcharged.
4-1. How to make a payment and handle additional charges or partial refunds
Click on the items that has numbers in the credit section.
Click "Settle". This will complete the payment that was authorized.
If there are any additional charges, please process them through Stripe.
If you would like a partial refund, please refer to the section above titled "For cases where payment has already been made and a partial refund is required."
4-2. How to cancel a payment and issue a new charge.
Click on the items that have numbers in the credits.
Click "Void" and the authorized payment will be cancelled.
Please request a re-payment via Stripe.
