[FAQ] Changes to Trip.com Pay Later Reservations Are Not Reflected in AirHost

Applies To

Trip.com Pay Later (Pay at Property) reservations.

Issue

When a guest changes their stay dates on Trip.com, the updated reservation details may not be reflected in AirHost.

Cause

Due to the current Trip.com API specification, date changes for Pay Later reservations are not sent via the API.

As a result, AirHost only receives the reservation information at the time the booking is created. Any subsequent changes, such as stay date changes or rate changes, are not synchronized automatically.

Workaround

Note: For Pay Later (Pay at Property) reservations, changes made by the guest to their stay dates are not automatically synchronized to AirHost.

If a guest changes their stay dates, please check whether the updated reservation details have been reflected in AirHost.

If the changes are not reflected, please contact the AirHost Support team.

When contacting support, please include a screenshot of the Trip.com reservation details page showing the updated information (such as the check-in date, check-out date, number of nights, and room rate). This will allow the AirHost Support team to manually update the reservation information.

Planned Improvement

According to Trip.com, this issue has been prioritized for improvement, and support for synchronizing Pay Later reservation date changes via the API is currently under development.

The enhancement is expected to be available around September 2026.
