About Airbnb Reservation Requests (Pending) and Pre-Approvals (Inquiries)
Airbnb Booking Requests and Pre-Approvals use different processes for confirming a booking.

Airbnb setting: Reservation Requests ON (Instant Book OFF). After a guest submits a reservation request, the host must approve it before the booking is confirmed.

Handling Airbnb Inquiries
Approve a Reservation (Pre-Approval)
At the inquiry stage, inventory is not reserved.
If you want to ensure availability is secured, please create a manual block (or use another inventory control method) before sending the pre-approval.
This helps prevent the dates from being booked by another guest while the inquiry is still pending.

When Guests Are Pending Identity Verification on Airbnb
Even after a pre-approval is sent, if the guest has not responded and the reservation remains in “Identity Verification Pending” status, the booking is not yet confirmed and will not be synced to AirHost.
Even though the listing may appear unavailable on Airbnb, inventory is not secured in AirHost at this stage, and therefore automatic inventory blocking does not occur.
The reservation will only be synced to AirHost, and inventory will be blocked automatically, once the guest completes identity verification and the booking is confirmed on Airbnb.
If you need to ensure availability is secured, please manually block the dates in AirHost as necessary using [Manual Block].
Handling booking requests via Airbnb
As of June 2026, this feature will only reflect bookings as "pending" if they are made to listings where Airbnb settings: Booking requests are ON (Instant bookings OFF) are enabled. It does not support booking request features on other OTAs.

Pattern 1 When a booking request is received, the booking status will be updated to "Pending," and a notification will be sent to your Dashboard > Messages > Inbox. You can then view the order details and approve or reject it. |

Approve/reject booking requests from booking details.
Pattern 1 When a booking request is received, it is imported with the booking status "Pending". You can then go to Dashboard > Check-in Management > Booking Status Filter "Pending" to open the booking details for the relevant booking and approve or reject it. |

Pattern 2 Open the relevant period in Dashboard > Booking Calendar and update it under Booking in Question > Pending Bookings. Clicking [Pending Bookings] and then clicking the relevant booking in the details menu will take you to Check-in Management > Booking Details, where you can approve or reject the booking. |

Clicking "Approve/Reject" will display an alert. Click [Confirm].
If you would like to receive notifications when a booking request is imported into AirHost, please select Notification Settings > OTA Booking [Pending] and save.
