“[email protected]” is a temporary email address automatically assigned by Airhost when no email address is entered at the time of booking.
This address does not actually exist and cannot be used to send messages to guests.
■ Important Notes on Sending Messages
If the email address is not entered (such as in manual reservations), you can still perform the message-sending operation on Airhost, but the message will not actually be sent.
When you try to send a message from the reservation details page, an error will occur, and a retry icon will appear—but the message will not be successfully delivered.
This happens because a temporary address “[email protected]” is automatically assigned by the system, and retrying will not change the outcome.
■ To Send Messages Correctly
If you need to contact the guest, please make sure to verify and enter the correct email address, then resend the message.
If you are sending automated messages using information obtained from OTAs such as Rakuten Travel or Ikkyu.com, the message is successfully sent as long as a ✅ mark appears in the automated message history, even if the email field shows “Email: -”.
Reservations for which messages cannot be sent will display a “message unsendable” icon.
