[Airbnb related] I've set block days before and after each booking, but why am I still getting bookings from Airbnb?

The "turnover days before and after each booking" apply only to the "actual booking."

Therefore, it does not apply to "manual blocking".

In the case of actual reservations

Turnover days before and after each reservation are applied, so the surrounding dates will also be closed on the OTA inventory.

In the case of manual blocks

Turnover days before and after each reservation are not applied.

Therefore, the dates before and after a manual block are treated as available rooms on the OTA side, and bookings may still be made.

However, it will still affect AirHost’s internal room assignment logic, and the reservation may be marked as “unassigned”.

Example

  • Turnover days: 1 day

  • May 30 is manually blocked

◆ OTA operation

The "number of days of blocking before and after each reservation" does not apply to manual blocking.

Therefore, the OTA will make the following determination:

Date

OTA Inventory

5/29

Reservations available

5/30

Manual Blocking

5/31

Reservations available

In this situation, there is a possibility of receiving bookings from Booking.com or Airbnb for May 29th.

◆ Operation of AirHost

On the other hand, AirHost's internal room allocation decision is affected by the "number of days blocked before and after each reservation."

Therefore,

  • Manual blocking on 5/30

  • Blocking days before and after each reservation = 1 day

In this case, your reservation for May 29th may not be assigned to a room and may be listed as an "unassigned reservation."

If You Want to Block the Surrounding Dates on the OTA Side

  • Manually block the surrounding dates as well
    or

  • Use the sales restriction (stop-sell) settings
