Written by Joelly See Toh

Overview

When switching the Stripe or GMO payment account to a different account, you can make the change while minimizing the impact on payments for existing reservations.

Important Notes

  • As long as the existing payment account remains active, authorizations (pre-authorizations) and scheduled payments for existing reservations will continue to be processed through the previous payment account.

  • To avoid unexpected issues, we recommend keeping the old payment account active for a period of time after switching.

Switching Procedure

  1. Open Channel Manager → Auto Payment Collection for the applicable property.

  2. Under Payment Account, select the new payment account.

  3. Save the settings.

Q. Can I Use Two Stripe/GMO Accounts in Parallel for Automatic Payment Collection?

Only one payment account can be registered for Auto Payment Collection for each property.

However, transactions can continue to be processed as follows:

  • New reservations: Payments are processed using the new payment account.

  • Existing reservations: Payments continue to be processed using the payment account that was assigned when the reservation was created.

This allows the new and previous payment accounts to effectively coexist for new and existing reservations, respectively.
