[Temairazu] Important Notes on Changing the Booking.com Booking Number Output Setting

Written by OKUBO C.K.

If the Booking.com booking number output setting is changed in Temairazu, the format of the booking number included in subsequent modification and cancellation information for existing reservations will also change.

If the booking number format differs, AirHost cannot match the information to the same existing reservation. Please be careful when changing this setting.

Booking Number Output Setting

In Temairazu, the Booking.com booking number output format can be configured under:

[Options] > [PMS Settings] > [Booking.com Agent Information]

When “Remove hyphens and output as 20 digits” is enabled, hyphens are removed from the Booking.com booking number when it is output.

For example, even for the same Booking.com reservation, the booking number format will change as follows after the setting is changed:

Original reservation: 5443548020-6060715679

Cancellation information: 54435480206060715679

When the booking number format differs in this way, AirHost recognizes the numbers as different booking numbers. As a result, the modification or cancellation information cannot be matched to the existing reservation and will not be reflected correctly.

Therefore, if you change the booking number output setting while existing reservations are active, the modification and cancellation information for those reservations will no longer be reflected correctly. Please review the impact on existing reservations before changing the setting.

Please note that AirHost does not automatically treat booking numbers with different formats as the same reservation.

This is because automatically normalizing the booking numbers could result in an unrelated reservation being incorrectly matched to the same reservation.
