When guests try to open the pre-check-in URL (guest page) from within the Airbnb app, they may see a white screen and be unable to open the URL.
Cause
This issue occurs when the guest's Airbnb app is not updated to the latest version.
It may also occur when the Airbnb app is up to date, but the operating system (OS) version of the guest's device is not compatible with the latest version of the Airbnb app.
How to Resolve the Issue
1. Update the Airbnb App to the Latest Version
Ask the guest to update the Airbnb app to the latest version and then try opening the pre-check-in URL again.
Airbnb also recommends updating to the latest version of the Airbnb app to ensure that the pre-check-in URL can be opened correctly within the app.
2. Copy the URL and Open It in a Browser
If the guest is unable to update the Airbnb app, ask them to copy the pre-check-in URL and open it directly in a browser such as Safari or Chrome.
This can be used as a temporary workaround when the URL cannot be opened within the Airbnb app.
This issue has been confirmed to be related to the Airbnb app. Unfortunately, there is currently no action that can be taken on the AirHost side to resolve this issue.
Please ask the guest to contact Airbnb Support for further assistance.
